David Cheruiyot captured the 2009 Ottawa Marathon in a come-from-behind dramatic sprint finish. This is his third year in a row winning in Spira Stingers and the fourth time in the past five years that David has captured the top prize in Canada's most prestigious marathon.

Saturday, April 18, 2009 -- John Mwangangi from Kenya won the M20 category and overall men's classification of one of Switzerland's largest and most prestigious road races, the Grand Prix of Bern in the Spira Stinger and Spira racing outfit.

Elisha Korir and Hyvon N'getich both of Kenya won the overall men's and women's divisions of the World's Fastest 10k on Sunday, October 12, in respective times of 25:42.4 and 29:03.7 to set the unofficial world record for the 10,000 meters.

Following impressing Masters victories at the 2007 & 2008 Boston Marathon in the Spira Stinger, Spira Foot Solutions team member Sergey Kaledin of Russia won the Masters' Division in one of the world's greatest road races, the New York City Marathon.
